Csertex Lab

The biotechnology business branch of the company participates in different research and development projects. With the help of its own sources and grant from National Office for Research and Technology (Genagrid) established the Csertex Research Laboratory. Presently, 6 researchers work here: a biology engineer (DSc), a medical doctor (PhD), a biologist (PhD), IT and a biologist PhD students. The main scientific subject of the research laboratory is the investigation of the genomic background of asthma. The main instrument in the laboratory: ABI 3130 Genetic Analyzer, ABI StepOne Plus RT PCR equipment, iPrep nucleic acid Purification Instrument, Kodak Image Station 4000, ESCO Maxi Cycler PCR equipment. Beside the research laboratory there is also the Csertex Genetic Counselling Services (www.genetika.csertex.hu), where in addition to counselling, amniotic fluid drawing and cytogenetic analysis takes place for prenatal diagnosis.
